Baeza-Utiel Railway (Sierra de Alcaraz) Greenway Nature Trail
From the infinite plain of Albacete to the town of Alcaraz
The railway that was to connect the towns of Baeza in Jaén and Utiel in Valencia, which was never completed, was destined to travel through numerous and very different regions. But the most exacerbated landscape contradiction is perhaps the one corresponding to this section. Its route first takes us through the Albacete Plain, a homogeneous and agricultural terrain, and then immerses us in the basin of the Jardín River, an area that takes us to an abrupt and mountainous terrain culminating in the Sierra de Alcaraz.
