Tajuña Greenway
Along the sweet route of beet trains
This Greenway, which runs along the river of the same name in the Madrid Region and enters the province of Guadalajara through a pleasant landscape of meadows, scrubland and, finally, rainfed crops, is very easy to follow, since the entire Madrid section has a reddish asphalt surface. This crucial track that will bring villages with rich traditions closer will serve as a reference point so as not to get lost throughout the route. Its connection with the old 40-Day Railway extends our itinerary for a few more kilometres as far as Estremera.
NOTICE. Works on the Tajuña Greenway.
Maintenance works are being carried out for 1 month in Carabaña (km. 34), along 1.5 km. There is an alternative route along the M-231 road.
Please, it is important to respect the signposting and the prohibitions of passage.
