Through pine forests along the Serra de Galliners

In 1995, the direct section between Bellaterra and Sant Quirze del Vallès stations on the Barcelona-Sabadell railway line was closed. The direct route was replaced by the curved extension that serves the Autonomous University of Barcelona. That short, abandoned section is now a small greenway between lush pine trees and, thanks to its natural appeal, an important part of the future 8 km greenway between Sant Quirze del Vallès and Rubí. This route is the result of public demand.
